Goodbye Training Wheels...

Boy I remember when Mason rode without his training wheels like it was yesterday!! Uncle Mike was here for a visit and he took Mason out and taught him how to do it.

So last weekend, I decided I would try to teach Syd. Holy Moley - that's hard to do when you are out of shape!!! LOL!!! I couldn't keep up the run - we'd go a little ways and we'd have to stop. It wasn't the running but the bending over and holding the bike at the same time!! Phew!
Needless to say, I wasn't a very good teacher!! I can't tell you how much I wished my brother were there to teach her too!! :(

So I enlisted Daddy's help and she did considerably better!!! Well last night, I had to work late and I got a call and it was Syd and she was SO excited!! She rode her bike all by herself!!!! (Of course it happens while I'm not there...sigh...geesh...) ;)

She couldn't wait for me to get home so she could show me!! I taped it but some of it is bad quality and I was trying to keep up with them!! :) But you can see my girl - CRANKING along on her bike!! I'm so proud of her!!! Way to go Beanie!!!!! :)

Speaking of "wheels" :) - anyone who knows Mason, knows he's a natural athlete!! He'll play anything (and well)!! He LOVES to play hockey in the driveway....on roller blades... :) He does it well and wanted to show off his "skills"!!! :) (By the way, those are MY roller blades Mister!!!) You're lucky YOU'RE so cute!!!! ;)

(I'd also like to point out that on his first pass by me, he's moving his arms up and down? Yes, that's him getting the "crowd" to cheer him on!!! ROFL!!! The kid cracks me up!!!)

(Editorial note: Yes, I laughed when both of my kids wiped out - but in my defense, I could see that they were both fine!!!) :)

On a separate note - I had to include a sweet picture of my "baby"!!! I bought this hat for her to wear to the pool this summer. It is SOO cute and I got it on SALE (which of course makes it that much cuter - lol!!!!)

And of course, she looked JUST as adorable as I imagined she would!!! But with that face, what DOESN'T look adorable on her!!! :)

OH MY GOODNESS!! LOOK AT HER GO!!!! What a big girl!!! Way to go Daddy running next to her -- that time at the gym is obviously paying off!!

Love the hat -- she's such a cutie!

Wow look at both of them. I'd break my neck on the roller blades. They both looked like they were having loads of fun!
