Bits and Pieces

No real "theme" today - just some bits and pieces...

Ok, so I realize that I may get some grief from some of these pictures because everyone doesn't agree with everything. But keep in mind that we live in a small town in PA and both Rex and I are hunters and so is just about everyone we know around us. So that's all I have to say about that...

I came in the room the other day to find Sydney "hunting". She had on Mason's snow pants and his toy rifle and was shooting at the fox across the room and said it was a deer! It was so funny. She was so concentrated and serious!! And then was very proud of what she "got"!!! :) It was so cute.

Mason is already a hunter of sorts. He hasn't gotten anything yet but he and his daddy have been out a few times for Squirrels. Here he is on New Year's morning getting ready to go out with Dad. Look out Squirrels!!! :)

So on the new camera issue. I hate to say that I'm not really sure I'm all that jazzed about it yet. I don't know - maybe I was expecting too much or I just don't know enough about it but all of these pictures are from the new camera and well, they don't blow me out of the water. Now of course my subjects are still wonderful, so I still love the pictures. Like these...

Maybe I was expecting too much - they aren't horrible, but some aren't real clear and some are blurry. Guess I need to work on the features.

So I will continue to work with it and maybe the great pictures I expected will come. Stay tuned! :)

Oh they are great pics!!! And you need to play with your camera more and then you will be thrilled. I took a XTI class that showed me all the whistles... I loved it! Take it off manual... and play!!!

Oh, I bet Daddy was so proud of Sydney and her "Deer"!!! Too funny!! -- By the way, if I was the one you were refering to about giving you wrong...you stand corrected! ;)

I feel the same way about my camera. I have chalked it up to user error and the flash. I really want to sign up for a class but I haven't had time yet. Plus, I think it needs a better flash. Many of picture seem dark.

Your pics look great though!

Try Tv mode and play with your shutter speeds to help with the blurring - take a look at the IS lenses too :) I love the one of Syd, but you need to put your metering focus on her eyes and that will help as well... it's still a gorgeous shot. You really have to play with it. I wish you were closer, I'd come over (but only if you'd make deer meat stew... yummm)
